DESCRIPTION:

Micropiles, helical piers, and push piers are standard solutions for remediating existing structures and/or mitigating problem soil areas below existing structures. These solutions work well and are well known/understood, but are not the only solutions. This presentation will discuss ground improvement methods used to remediate and/or mitigate problem soils for existing structures. Techniques such as Injection Systems, Compaction Grouting, Jet Grouting, and permeation (chemical) grouting will be discussed.
