DESCRIPTION:
The structural engineering profession is evolving, and so are the expectations of the people within it. Engineers today are navigating changing career paths, hybrid work environments, shifting workplace values, and new expectations for communication and transparency. At the same time, firms are facing increasing challenges in attracting, developing, and retaining talent across all career stages.
This panel brings together structural engineers from different generations and career experiences to discuss the issues shaping the future of the profession. Through an open conversation on retention, work-life balance, career development, mentorship, transparency, and trust, panelists will share their perspectives on where the profession is today, where it is headed, and how firms and individuals can work together to build stronger, more sustainable careers. Attendees will leave with practical insights and strategies they can apply within their own organizations, regardless of career stage or firm size.
