DESCRIPTION:

Come join us this month for a fantastic opportunity to establish a deeper understanding of Structural Steel Welding from preparation to inspection.  Master Welder Joe Doyle and Senior Steel Detailer Fred Garcia with Pace Metals are going to provide an in-depth breakdown of the proper selection, preparation, detailing, and fabrication of an AISC Pre-qualified Complete Joint Penetration (CJP) Weld.  Additionally, to ensure that we understand the complete process AISC Certified Special Inspector Pat Bauman will be present to walk us through the differences and similarities between AWS D 1.1 Standard Welding – Steel, AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding, and AWS D1.8 Structural Welding – Seismic Supplement.  If that wasn’t enough we will have an open mic Q&A with Joe, Fred, and Pat so bring your questions about steel welding, fabrication, detailing, and/or steel special inspection requirements.
